GENERAL PROVISIONS
- This document defines the Privacy Policy of the websites of the Effective Altruism Foundation, including rules on personal data protection and the security of other data provided by Users.
DEFINITIONS
- Controller - Fundacja Efektywny Altruizm, Plac Bankowy 2, 00-095 Warsaw, NIP: 525-274-69-02, email: kontakt@efektywnyaltruizm.org.
- Service - the website at https://efektywnyaltruizm.org/ and the Dobra Kariera website at https://dobrakariera.org/, including subpages.
- Dobra Kariera Program - 1:1 consultations and advisory activities run by the Controller, available through forms on dobrakariera.org.
- User - a natural person using the Service and providing personal data through it.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
- The Controller is the controller of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR of 27 April 2016.
- Data is processed within the scope, time, and purposes indicated each time in the content accompanying forms used to collect personal data.
- The legal basis may be Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, depending on the context.
- Personal data is shared only with trusted processors such as IT, hosting, email, cloud, analytics, newsletter, videoconferencing, accounting, legal, and statutory activity support providers.
- The current list of processors and transfer safeguards outside the EEA is maintained by the Controller and available on request.
PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES OF PROCESSING
- Statutory activities, such as organizing events and community management.
- Sending newsletters.
- Traffic analysis and IT security.
- Recruitment processes and cooperation with candidates.
- Legal and accounting support, and pursuing or defending claims.
- Handling applications to the Dobra Kariera Program and conducting 1:1 consultations.
DATA PROCESSING IN THE DOBRA KARIERA PROGRAM
- We process data provided in forms and during consultations, such as name, email, professional profile link, CV if attached, education, experience, preferences, and open-field answers.
- We do not require special-category data. If such data is provided despite warnings, it is processed only with separate consent and only where necessary.
- Applications and consultation notes may be stored for up to 12 months after the program edition, talent-pool data for up to 24 months or until consent is withdrawn, and newsletter data until consent is withdrawn.
- We do not make decisions producing legal effects solely by automated means.
USER RIGHTS
- Users may contact the Controller to update their data.
- Users have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where applicable.
- Users may lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office.
TECHNICAL DATA PROTECTION
- The Controller uses appropriate technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption, access restrictions, device encryption, security reviews, backups, and processor risk assessment.
COOKIES POLICY
- The Service uses cookies for functionality, statistics, and security.
- We use session and persistent cookies, including necessary, security, performance, functional, advertising, and integration cookies.
- Analytics and advertising cookies are used only after consent, which can be changed at any time.
